Write a brief summary of the Ecological Systems Theory. Foc

    1.Theory Overview
Write a brief summary of the Ecological Systems Theory. Focus on its key concepts and how it explains the influence of different environments on a child’s development.
    2.Examples of Each System
For each system (Microsystem, Mesosystem, Exosystem, Macrosystem, Chronosystem):
    •Provide a specific real-world example.
•Explain how the example could positively or negatively impact a child’s development. Be specific and detailed about the impact.
Example: Instead of just defining the Microsystem as “the immediate environment around a child,” write something like: “A child’s relationship with their parents in the Microsystem can affect their development. For example, if the parents are supportive and loving, the child might feel secure and develop confidence. But if the parents are critical or distant, the child might struggle with self-esteem.”
    3.Significance
Write a short paragraph explaining why it is important for people working with children to understand these ecological systems. Reflect on how this knowledge can improve their ability to support children’s development in practical settings.

In the case of May v. Triple C Convalescence Centers, Pozgar (2023) states,
it was alleged in a lawsuit involving a wrongful death action that a nursing facility knew or should have known that a certain resident was belligerent and aggressive and might injure other residents by fighting. Thus, it was argued that the nursing facility owed something more than the ordinary duty of reasonable care to another resident who died of injuries suffered in a fight with the belligerent resident. (p. 67)
Pozgar (2023) further explains, “the court rejected this argument, pointing to the absence of evidence to support the contention that the nursing facility knew or should have known that the resident was dangerous” (p. 68). Pozgar continues to suggest that “because senile psychosis tends to cause irrational behavior, a nursing facility would appear to have a duty to protect residents from the effects of irrational behavior, whether or not it has actual knowledge of such behavior on the part of the particular resident” (p. 68).

Managers and leaders have different perspectives on the nonprofit sector. Tell y

Managers and leaders have different perspectives on the nonprofit sector. Tell your peers what your perspective is, or would be, as a manager of a nonprofit by responding to the following questions:
Describe the main characteristics and differences between organizations and management in the nonprofit sector with organizations and management in other sectors. Use examples from the case studies to illustrate your descriiptions from the Worth and Lee chapters, last week’s readings from Bolman and Deal, and/or the videos clips. (Cite your sources.)
“Sabeti observes that ‘organizations within the three sectors [public, for-profit, nonprofit] have been evolving—or converging—toward a fundamentally new organizational landscape’” (2009, cited in Worth, 2021, p. 40). This convergence is creating a new sector, or “fourth sector,” some call “for-benefits,” thus a “hybrid ideal” may emerge. What are your thoughts about the emerging new model concept? What would your “hybrid ideal” look like?
Ten years ago, the Aspen Institute published “The Emerging Fourth Sector” report to address the social and environmental challenges we face, while at the same time pro

    Completing the Journal
Write 1 developed paragraph (at least 5-7 sentences) on each of this week’s stories (3 paragraphs total). Use the following questions to help you develop the paragraphs. You may write more about each story if you wish.

The narrator of “The Cask of Amontillado” justifies his murder by referencing “the thousand injuries” (Poe 866) he has suffered at the hands of Fortunado. Do you believe his explanation? In other words, do you think he is a reliable narrator? Does his 1st-person perspective make him more or less trustworthy in your opinion?

“Everyday Use” was written in the early 1970s, when many educated young African Americans were embracing their African heritage while rejecting the values and history of their parents and grandparents. In the story, Dee is one of these upwardly mobile young African Americans. Do you admire her accomplishments? Do you agree with her wish to preserve the heirloom quilt and her opinion that her mother and sister “don’t understand . . . [their] heritage” and need to “make something” of themselves (Walker 73)? Is there anything ironic about what she says to them about heritage?

Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s story was written in the early 1890s, when women had far less power in their marriages, and effective treatments for depression were almost unknown. She says that her husband’s status as a doctor is “one reason I do not get well faster” (Gilman). But because of her severe post-partum depression, the narrator of “The Yellow Wallpaper” is clearly mentally unstable, which makes her an unreliable narrator. We can’t fully trust what she tells us about herself, about her husband, or about the rest of the world she lives in. What are some examples of story events which are probably taking place in the narrator’s mind? Do you think we’d have a different view of events if the story was told from her husband’s perspective? Why?

    Expectations for the Journal
In this journal, you will not be graded on grammar, punctuation, format, or structure. Its purpose is to help you to think about the stories in a low-stress format.
You will receive full credit as long as you make an honest attempt to answer the prompts and meet the stated length requirement.
If there is anything else you want to write in addition to the given questions, feel free to do so!
Journal entries should consist of your original thoughts and words. Outside sources should be kept to a minimum: I want to hear what YOU think! If you do use any outside sources to help you, they must be credited by giving a link to each source. Word-for-word borrowings should be put in quotation marks, and the source should be credited in-text. Outside sources are not required for journals.
