For this assignment propose a scenario where you or someone you know are confronted with a moral dilemma relating to cultural diversity and multiculturalism. It cannot be the same as what was covered in the week one discussion.
Cultural diversity refers to religious, sexual, racial, and other forms of social difference. A moral dilemma is a situation in which one must make a decision between two or more options such that the options involve seemingly ethical and/or unethical conduct. Address the following questions:
What was the situation? What did the dilemma involve?
What would a subjective moral relativist say is the right approach to the dilemma? Why would that kind of relativist say that?
What would a cultural relativist say is the right approach to the dilemma? Why would that kind of relativist say that? Is that approach correct?
What did you or the person confronting the dilemma decide to do? What moral justification did you or they give? Is that approach morally correct?
Was there an objective moral truth (the objectively right thing to do) in this situation? Why or why not?
Remember, the dilemma should be detailed with description and dialogue. Regard the questions as requirements. This is an essay, so rather than simply providing a list of brief answers to questions, provide an in-depth reflection regarding a difficult ethical situation..
Cite the textbook and incorporate outside sources, including citations.

For this assignment, you will learn about computer-assisted coding and practice using the computer-assisted encoder.   Many encoders now have this feature to assist coders with coding.  The CAC will use natural language processing to suggest diagnoses and procedures/surgeries that should be coded.  The coder then acts as an editor and determines which suggested codes should actually be coded on the chart.  Complete the TWO parts of this assignment.
    1)  Follow the instructions on this attached CAC Assignment file and determine the correct coding for this case. Refer to the Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS and use them to decide on the correct coding.  State why and what corrections are made and state which coding guideline applies to each of your corrections.  (Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting can be found in the reference section of 3M in AHIMA Vlab or in your coding manuals for ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS).
    2)  Using AHIMA Vlab Nuance (see announcement for AHIMA Vlab Encoders).
Login to AHIMA Vlab and choose Nuance Clintergy.  Review the FAQs and the Vlab Login Credential for using Nuance Cintergy.
    Launch Nuance Clintergy.
Do assignments #1 Getting Started and #3 ICD-10 Lab,
Submit grade screenshots of your passing score (85 or higher) for each assignment in one document.
To make a screenshot:To do a screenshot on a Microsoft computer, use the CTRL key and the PRTSCR key, press down on both at the same time, lift your fingers and go to a blank Word page.  Use the CTRL and V keys and paste the screenshot onto a Word document. For a Mac, you can use shift + command + 4.Put all screenshots on one page and submit as proof of coding for your assignment.  Save Word document and submit.

Touchstone 2: Government in My Community
ASSIGNMENT: For this assignment, you will research and write about an issue that is important to you, to your community, or to Americans in general. To do this, you will investigate the ways that government in the United States has or has not addressed your selected issue. As part of your research, you will choose at least five articles from newspapers, magazines, or other online sources that highlight the U.S. government’s response to the issue. You will then identify and analyze this response and provide a personal reflection on the impact. In doing so, you will deepen your engagement with course content by applying what you’ve learned in Units 1 and 2 about the U.S. federal system and the division of powers among and between the different layers of government. To complete the assignment, download the Government in My Community template, and follow the directions below. You will return the completed template as your Touchstone submission.
    A. Directions
Step 1: Select an issue that is important to you, your community, or to Americans in general. If you reside in the United States, your community could be your geographical community (e.g., your neighborhood, town, or city) or the broader state or national community. If you do not reside in the United States, your community could be a group with shared characteristics with whom you identify.
You can choose any issue, but your assignment must focus on how government officials are addressing the issue within the United States or as a matter of U.S. public policy. Here are some ideas to get you started: immigration; border security; public school policy; public safety; gun rights or gun control; victim rights; student testing; school choice; abortion; access to public transportation or city services; energy, environment, conservation, or economic issues; healthcare (cost of medicines or health insurance, health care access); homelessness; the death penalty.
Step 2: Find and read at least five articles from newspapers, magazines, or other online sources that highlight the government’s response to the issue. It is important that your articles do not only describe the issue or present opinions on the issue from general members of the public. Look for sources that communicate how government officials in the United States have responded or are responding to the issue. You will be asked to identify government officials by name in your articles.
    hint
Ideas for sources include news articles; speeches from political candidates or current office holders; campaign ads; press releases; and data collected from non-profit organizations, among others. The website www.usa.gov can be a good starting point for learning about government responses to various issues. Other online sources for information about government policy and services could include (but are not limited to):
    www.realclearpolitics.com
    www.reuters.com
    State or local government websites
    Political party websites (e.g., democrats.org; www.gop.com)
    www.pewresearch.org
Step 3: After completing your research and reflecting on what you’ve learned, fill out the Government in My Community template. The suggested total word range is 1500-2500 words. You will respond to the following prompts:
What is the issue or problem that is impacting your community? Describe the issue or problem and its effects. (Remember to use in-text citations anytime you paraphrase, summarize, quote, or include data or statistics from your sources!)
In the U.S. federal system, which level of government (local, state, or national) or branch (executive, legislative, judicial) is responsible for addressing the issue? Is there more than one? Explain your reasoning. Be sure to include evidence from the U.S. Constitution and from the course to support your explanation.
Identify all of the government officials discussed in your sources. Include their names and the level of government and agency that the officials represent. For example, are they a member of Congress? A city council member? Or a member of a federal, state, city, or county agency?
How have these government officials attempted to address the issue? Describe their actions, citing evidence from all five articles or other online sources with in-text citations. For help understanding how and when to include in-text citations, see Section D “Additional Resources” (below).
In your opinion, has the government done a good job addressing the issue? Why or why not? What more should be done, and by which level of government?
Step 4: Compile your reference list in the APA style. Section D. “Additional Resources” (below) will help you to understand how to add your sources to the Government in My Community template.
    Checklist for Success:
❒ Did you find articles that specifically communicate how government officials in the U.S. have responded or are responding to the issue you’ve selected, and have you identified who those officials are?
❒ Did you complete all sections of the Government in My Community template?
❒ Did you review the grading rubric and compare it to your response?
❒ Did you review the example Government in my Community submission to see an example of a completed assignment?
❒ Did you include in-text citations and a reference list in the APA style for 5 unique sources?

Step 1: Review the response to Exercise 2 listed below.
“According to the Agency for Healthcare Research (2022), safety, efficiency, patient-centered, timeliness, efficiency, and equity are the six domains to ensure the best quality is provided to patients. Healthcare organizations, including healthcare management, must strive to meet these objectives to create a positive experience for the patients and the overall organizational culture. Failure to provide quality care can lead to unwanted, negative consequences such as distrust of the healthcare providers and or the company.
An excellent quality experience I had was during the process of establishing my son with a new pediatrician. My child’s previous provider was moving to a new clinic. Therefore, I had to be assigned a new pediatrician that was covered by our insurance. When the new pediatrician’s office called me to schedule the new patient appointment, they realized my child’s birthday was in a few weeks. Once they became aware of that, they discussed with me the option of scheduling the new patient appointment and the three-year checkup, at the same time. This choice was more effective for me and the clinic as we could get two appointments done at once. The decision also allowed me to only take one trip into town and make it accessible for my husband to attend.
Additionally, the excellent quality continued during the appointment. When the nurse was reviewing our information, she realized my child’s vaccination records were never uploaded by the previous pediatrician. I was able to find a copy of the vaccinations and she uploaded each vaccine and printed me a copy to verify that they were uploaded successfully. Upon doing so, she noticed two vaccines from his two months were missing. However, I knew my child had his two-month vaccines in a different clinic out of state. When I informed the nurse, she trusted me and asked for the previous clinic’s information so she could retrieve my child’s record. When we met the new pediatrician, the great experience continued. They were thorough in reviewing my child’s record, listening to the concerns we had, and providing us with a referral we had asked for before but never received.
Consequently, the negative quality experience I had was realizing our previous pediatrician clinic never submitted my child’s vaccine record. Their lack of attention to detail, made me lose trust in their ability to provide thorough patient care. Specifically, because the record I provided, was missing two vaccines and I was completely unaware. Furthermore, during another visit, my child had been submitted as the wrong gender which resulted in the incorrect growth chart being calculated. Although I am no longer a part of their system, I would not recommend any family to the clinic because I could not feel confident in their quality of care.
Management had a significant influence on both the excellent quality and the negative quality received. Patrice Spath states that management is responsible for how the organizational activities are “designed, carried out, coordinated, and improved” (2022). A strong organizational management can ensure that patients have excellent quality experience. However, if management does not provide top leadership to their employees, the organizational structure becomes compromised and results in poor patient care.”
Step 2: Review three systems models presented in chapter 3:
    Three Core Process Model
    Interconnected Systems Model
The Baldrige Performance Excellence Program Framework
Step 3: Choose the model you can best relate to at this time.
Step 4: Look at both your excellent experience and your poor experience, paying particular attention to how you described the manager’s role or influence. Transfer what you wrote about the manager’s role or influence to your paper.
Step 5: Now, think about those experiences from the perspective of the systems model you chose in question 3. Describe any additional insights gained about this experience by viewing it in the context of the systems perspective represented by the model.
Write a 2-page APA formatted paper by answering the questions listed above.
