This assignment is not a funding proposal. It is the first step you take when you recognize the need for a new program and determine that this program is within the scope of your NPO’s capabilities. The presentation can be used to convince your superiors to allow you to apply for a grant to fund the program. One key element is that the presentation should focus on aligning the grant’s mission and how it aligns with your NPO’s and program’s mission. Another key element is the budget. One must demonstrate careful thought in the creation of the budget. The more detail and backup information provided, the more credible your grant application will be and the higher the likelihood that you will be able to convince a donor to fund your program.
Your PowerPoint Presentation will demonstrate that you fully understand:
The NPO organization that will be applying for the grant
    The objectives of that grant
The mission and goals of the organization from which you are requesting funds
The approach that you will use to execute and manage the program
The budget associated with the program and how you will use the funds
The outcomes that you propose to achieve and how you will measure your progress on achieving them
The internal controls that you will have in place to assure the grantee that their funds will be well-spent
Any risks that you foresee could impact the success in executing the grant.
If the grant does not fully cover the costs you have identified, you need to identify alternative funding sources so that the grant objectives may be achieved.

Invent your own nonprofit organization (or use one that you have already started

Invent your own nonprofit organization (or use one that you have already started – do not use one that is already in existence).
Part I: Mission Statement, Articles of Incorporation, and Bylaws
For this first part of the project, you will: create your mission statement; create your articles of formation and your bylaws. A bylaws template working document is provided (attached). You will also need to make reference to other documents in this session and in others to complete this part, as well as for the entire project.
Part II: Conflict of Interest Policy and Board Member Agreement
Craft your Conflict of Interest Policy, and Board Member Agreement. There are examples of these in this course from which you can draw. You should also find other examples that fit your type of organizational mission and objectives.
Part III: Craft a plan that provides the specific kinds of people you will need to recruit for your board. This part is important, because you will have read about the mistakes founding and established nonprofits make when recruiting board members. Further still, an organization needs revenue of some sort in order to accomplish its mission.
Bring those bylaws criteria forward and get more specific. What are all the criteria will you use? What do you want them to do on the board/how will they serve? Where might you find these perfect-fit people? Discuss and prepare these as a group, because these decisions are made by the board of directors. You can do this in list form, but it must match up with your bylaws and also be more detailed and seriously thoughtful.

Over the past 4 weeks, we have discussed many forms of communication. We are, once again, going to focus this information on a specific area…Marketing. Please read all of the articles provided in the content section for this week to give you a good idea of what you need to do to come up with a good marketing campaign. I would like you to create a fictional company and present a marketing campaign to brand that company. Make sure that you give me some background as to what the company sells and who you are trying to reach, your campaign should target that audience. Think of yourself as a marketing executive and you are trying to convince the customer (owner of the company) why your marketing plan will be effective. I do not expect you to create an all-inclusive campaign, you just need to be able to clearly express your ideas to your client. These ideas should include how you intend to reach their target audience and should be supported by research to show your client that you have looked into their company as well as the market that they intend to sell. Please attach your paper as a Word document to this assignment.
    Paper must include:
